Today was our first really “normal” choir tour day. We had our great breakfast, got on the bus and started our journey to Salzburg. On the way, we

stopped in Melk for a tour of the abby which was really beautiful, even if the weather wasn’t.

    After lunch, it was back on the bus. We got to Salzburg around 3:30 and had a little down time, mostly spent unpacking and getting cleaned up. Then we went to the opening service/ceremony of the festival. We heard four other groups including a small but very impressive group from Ukraine. After the ceremony, we had another very good meal and went back to the hotel, finally getting to sleep at a “normal” time.
